Your toe box creases the first day you wear them.
Ultimate Armor Shields® sit inside the toe box and hold its shape while you walk — so the sneakers you just paid for still look like it next month. Two side notches mean room on the big-toe side and the pinky-toe side.

Why it happens
The crease isn't wear. It's the toe box folding.
Every step bends your foot at the forefoot, and the empty space above your toes has nothing holding it up. The panel folds, the fold sets, and after that it creases in the same place every time. It happens on the first wear, on the nicest pair you own, and it never un-creases.
Support the panel
A shield sits under the toe box and carries the bend so the upper doesn't have to.
Keep the shape
Extra-rigid construction holds its form inside the shoe instead of collapsing with your foot.
Stay invisible
It fits entirely inside. From the outside nobody can tell it's in there.
The difference
One notch gives you relief on one side. Two gives you both.
The original Single Notch design put a notch on the pinky-toe side. It worked — but only one side of your foot got the room. Our patent-pending Ultimate Double Notch Design adds a second notch on the big-toe side, so there's additional space along both edges of your forefoot. That's the whole reason it exists: more room, more comfort, less pressure.
The original Single Notch
One notch, on the pinky-toe side. The design our customers wore for years — and the design their feedback improved.
The Ultimate Double Notch
Two notches — big-toe side and pinky-toe side. One design, two models: Armor and Flex.
Two models
Pick by the shoe, not by the price.
Both are Double Notch. The difference is how much structure the shoe can take.

Better than single notch ones imo
“Way more comfortable and better design. I use flex and armor in my sneakers — flex is better for 11s or tighter sneakers. Def recommend.”
No crease at all
“No crease at all wearing them with my SB Dunks, Nike Uptowns and Jordan 1s — very comfortable when wearing them. I've tried them all, this is the best hands down.”
Great for Jordans
“I've been using Sneaker Shields for years now and they are always highly recommended.”
Comfortable, protective, and great value
“I had stopped using Sneaker Shields because the Gen X design was just too bulky and rigid for me. However, this new double-notch design completely changed my mind. It's much more flexible, lightweight, and way more comfortable to wear… The Flex Shields are comfortable, lightweight, and easy to wear, while the Armor Shields give me that extra level of protection when I need it. I like having both options depending on the shoe, how much structure I want, and how much coverage I need.”
